Yesterday I preached at the third anniversary of Balubad Christian Fellowship (BCF) located near ACTION's 2nd Mile discipleship-vocational training center for underprivileged young men and women. BCF was planted through the faithful ministry of several ACTION personnel serving at 2nd Mile and the church is growing in depth and number. The church was packed yesterday and we sang victoriously, prayed with faith and after the service enjoyed a nice meal together. Christian fellowship is precious beyond price!
Today Luv Zacal, SITeam's social worker and a pastor, and I taught 12 godly men and women how to use the Life Application Study Bible (LASB) then gave a copy to each one. It's a joy to be with men and women who love the Lord Jesus and people, take seriously their calling to preach and teach the Word of God correctly with application and enjoy fellowship with one another. Our remaining copies of the LASB we'll take to our brethren in the provinces. It's hard work to preach and teach the Word of God correctly because it requires lots of concentrated preparation time to read, meditate, pray then deliver the Word with clarity, conviction and application to people's everyday lives. It's true to be an approved teacher of the Word of God one must be a dedicated life-time student of God's Word and people.
