Back to Cagayan De Oro City: we need prayer

Now that this week's camp is behind us my mind and heart is turning toward our team's return to Cagayan De Oro City (CDO) February 21-26 to minister to very hurting and suffering victims of typhoon Sendong-Washi. We have several activities planned like a seminar for pastors on using the Life Application Study Bible with each participant to receive a free copy, a conference for 100 pastors with the title "Reflections on Evil and Suffering" including a workshop on leadership during a crisis, a textbook turning over ceremony at an elementary school for whom we purchased books, trauma debriefing training for pastors and church workers, actual trauma debriefing at an evacuation site, a survey trip to the mountains surrounding CDO to visit an isolated tribe that needs a medical clinic and a trip to Illigan City to see the devastation there and how we can help. I praise the Lord for the cooperation of many people and ministries so the various aspects of this trip are coming together nicely. However we need prayer because relief work is heartbreaking and demanding in all ways. Pray for us please because we truly want to minister God's love and Word to people not just run them through our activities.
