ACTION in partnership with Norweigen Missionary Alliance, several churches and an army of volunteers have done 20 major relief operations thus far. We have given 2000 large packs to families identified as the most needy by host churches and local officials and now the churches are doing aftercare ministry. Recipients are grateful to receive practical items and many have commented about the good class of rice they received. At each operation the Gospel was clearly presented and several indicated they turned from sin to the Savior. In addition a short message of comfort was given from the Word of God for those who know Christ. To date we have spent $54,677.00US and have a balance of $3,582.00US which we will use for another operation next week. People who are able to return home are going back to filthy stagnant disease ridden water, mud and garbage so we'll change items in our relief packs and add soaps, detergents, disinfectants and skin ointments along with rice and canned goods. We are now feeling fatigued but we will continue to help people in the name of Jesus for as long as we have the means to do so. Pray for us please.
