This Monday and Tuesday our relief team partnered with three churches to do six relief operations for flood victims. At one church we gave large packs to 200 families in four shifts of 50 families and at the other two churches we gave 100 packs to families for a total of 400 packs. Each pastor individually told me that their being able to assist their congregants and community was an answer to their prayer. The pastors and the recipients were very grateful. These operations cost approximately $11,830.00. To date, since August 12 when we started, our relief team has given 2,600 packs costing about $70,090.00 at 25 sites all in partnership with local churches. We're also feeding 1,675 people at six evacuation centers using Feed My Starving Children food also being overseen by churches. The FMSC food is sent to us monthly by two churches in Minnesota so we are certainly working alongside the body of Christ assisting in their ministries of mercy and gospel outreach. In all this activity we have one message which is "Jesus knows our situation. He cares and so do His people and that's why they sacrificially gave to help us during our need. God also sacrificially gave His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the Cross as the payment for our sins and three days later He arose from the grave so today we need to turn from our sin and trust Jesus only as our Savior." Many indicated they trusted Christ so they've received temporary help and eternal life.
