We arrived home to our apartment today and after a good trip from
Delhi. Our week+ there was rich and full. It's always a joy to be with
our ministry colleagues from around the world to learn what their
teams are doing and to visit ACTION fields. Delhi is a fascinating
city and India truly is incredible as their tourism motto goes. This
week will be rich and full too because tomorrow several of us from
SITeam, CGM and a few pastor friends will go to Real, Quezon to
conduct an evangelistic outreach in the evening and Tuesday a seminar
on how to use the New Living Translation Life Application Study Bible.
Both activities are in partnership with local pastors and their
churches. This will be a special joy for me because SITeam has done
extensive relief in the Real area after it was smashed by four super
typhoons in '04 which resulted in planting the Real Christian
Fellowship Church. In this formerly unchurched location many people
were lead to faith in Christ via camping, Christmas parties, various
relief-development projects and simply befriending people which lead
to forming the church. Even though church-planting is not our goal
helping people in the name of Jesus Christ is which opens people's
hearts for the gospel which we share as we are helping and befriending
them.
