"Go" bag packed and running shoes on but not forgetting street kids

This week the Street Impact Team secured 600 blankets, tarps, mosquito nets and sleeping mats and finally got them loaded on a ship leaving Manila for Tagbilaran, Bohol Monday 4am arriving there Tuesday 7pm. We also loaded 10 boxes of Feed My Starving Children food, six boxes of used clothes and boxes of assorted canned goods. These items will be distributed to victims of the 7.2 earthquake that rocked the province and Visayas region October 15. Since then they've experienced over 3,000 aftershocks and are being warned of landslides due to loose soggy land due to rain. We'll leave for Tagbilaran Tuesday morning and return to Manila Saturday after we scout the northeastern side of Bohol which was slammed by typhoon Haiyan. Paul Ellis, a 30+ year ACTION missionary here, will join us so he can look into the possibility of doing a pastoral care conference and Life Application Study Bible seminars in partnership with Christian Growth Ministries in order to encourage pastors and replenish their libraries. Steve Read, another ACTION vet here, arrived from the US Thursday to help us gather intel from pastors in the pummeled Visayas region. We're now gaining traction so our "go" bags and running shoes are now on. However before I go Tuesday this afternoon our team will visit and feed street kids who attended recent camps so we're not forgetting them.
