SITeam's Hayian Leyte-Eastern Samar phase 2 response

This week the Street Impact Team along with partner ministries Advancing the Ministries of the Gospel and Children's Garden finalized our phase 2 response to typhoon Hayian victims. We'll provide text books to two elementary schools in Leyte and facilitate two two day Vacation Bible Schools in Eastern Samar for children in cooperation with the local Child Evangelism Fellowship team and nearby churches. Both areas are vastly underserved so that's why they're chosen. We've requested school officials of the two schools receiving the books to ask parents of students if they can attend Bible classes and they've agreed so we're arranging this with nearby churches. SITeam will also look into starting Feed My Starving Children feeding programs so we're preparing ourselves for longterm ministry in the area.
