Its VBS season-feeding body and soul

Its summer so students are on vacation until classes resume in June. This means many churches are conducting Vacation Bible School (VBS) which is a great way to reach kids, parents and communities with the Gospel. The Street Impact Team is partnering with two para-church organizations, four churches, parents and community leaders this week in doing five VBSes with an Easter theme in five very poor communities. Everyone is having a good time and tomorrow is the big day-graduation! We are also gearing up for two two-day VBSes we'll do April 22-25 in Eastern Samar for Haiyan vics who are elementary students at the two schools we gave books to in February. These will also be in partnership with local churches and Child Evangelism Fellowship's locally based team. April 29 we'll do yet another VBS in another poor community in Manila in partnership a church. All the VBSes include a simple breakfast and nice lunch because people lack food. The partner churches have committed to do the followup which will include feedings using food from Feed My Starving Children in some areas because the kids are malnourished. We're feeding hungry people the soul satisfying Word of God with one hand and physically sustaining food with the other.
