Living in light of eternity

Daryl and Sharon served at 2nd Mile for 30+ years and they're returning to the US for good next Monday. Thursday evening the 2nd Mile community threw a going away party for them which was very meaningful. Many expressed their heartfelt appreciation for their leadership, love and friendship. They're not only leaving a place called 2nd Mile but several living epistles written on the hearts of men and women by the Spirit of the living God. They will carry the work they sacrificially started and built over the years.

I was born 61 years ago today (May 14) and a granddaughter was born to our son Amos and his wife Laura May 13. Due to the time difference we share birthdays for a few hours. Life goes on and it's certainly not about more toys for the big boys. Daryl, Sharon, Mary Ann and I have chosen the *best* over what's considered *good*. Life goes on and it's our choice how we live it in light of eternity.
