That's the name of the drama presentation Mary Ann and I saw Thursday night at Capital City Baptist Church along with more than 70 street kids and church workers. It was presented by Messengers a group from Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis, MN, our hometown, who are in the Philippines ministering for several days. The presentation was about 95% Scripture and powerfully and clearly explained the Gospel. It was wonderful having friends from "home" seeing our "home" for 22 years this side of the globe.
We're gearing up for our Evangelistic Christmas Party outreach to street kids and their families, prisoners and slum dwellers. We decided Friday to develop the parties around the theme "Christmas, God's Gift to Us" with the theme verse being Isaiah 9:6. Pray for funds please because our budget is $13,000 and it'll cost $3.50 to sponsor one person to a fun-filled eternally impacting party. While you're praying ask God for wisdom, strength and power because December is an opportune time for proclaiming the Gospel and providing compassionate care which sets up a lot of ministry for the coming year with our partner churches and agencies.
