A fruitful road trip with a busy weekend ahead

Our two week trip to Portland, Seattle and LA was fruitful and a joy.
It was great to see family members and long time friends again as
well as make new ones. We spoke eight times in two churches, a chapel
service in an academy, taught a seminar at a Christian university on
working with street kids, taught a couple times at ACTION's
orientation for new missionaries, gave a devotional at the ACTION
Board meeting, an update on ACTION Philippines at a luncheon and gave
a ministry presentation at Caltech's undergraduate Christian
Fellowship. We had 10 appointments over meals with folks interested
in ACTION along with several get togethers with others. It was a huge
blessing to have fellowship with several of Amos' Caltech graduate
student colleagues who love the Lord and are from many countries.
They're all doing cutting edge research but are humble in their walk
with Christ and seemed to enjoy being with simple minded plain
speaking missionaries! 3 John 5-8 was fleshed out by all of our hosts
and friends over the entire course of this trip beginning with a ride
to and from the MSP airport by Adam.

Today we're unpacking, running errands, making return calls and
preparing for a busy weekend. Tomorrow we'll attend a family
readiness program for families of MN Army Guardsmen who'll be
deployed this summer, speak Sunday AM in our home and sending church
followed by lunch with our missions pastor and his wife and Sunday PM
we'll host a military support group for families from Micah's church
who have loved ones currently deployed. We're pleased to minister
God's grace, lovingkindness and Word to all that He sends our way.
