Team and missionary life

I met Carl Loewen in 1992 when he did his nine month Bible school internship with the Street Impact Team and we've been co-workers and friends since then. Over the years he married Lisa and they have four boys. After a year of Tagalog study they moved to ACTION's 2nd Mile ministry compound and have lived there for 12 years running Honest Hands our life-skills discipleship home for former street boys. They're returning to Canada in May to resume life there and will minister among Filipinos in Manitoba. They'll be missed big-time but we'd never hold them back from doing the Lord's bidding. Today our team had a joyful despideda sending them off with our love and prayers. This is the life of a team.

Tomorrow Mary Ann and I leave for Minnesota, Ontario and Washington State for a month of ministry. This afternoon we're packing and getting ready for being on the road which is the life of missionaries.
