Last Sunday we attended a sunrise Easter service at the camp we stayed at and it was beautiful to see several churches from the nearby town come together for this joint service. I kept thinking this is a "God-thing" because there are so many differences we could major on which could bring division but when we focus on the risen Christ all our differences become very minor even though they're real. The service was edifying to those who attended and Christ exulting because He was our Focus.
The other day 110 copies of Randy Alcorn's book "If God is Good...Faith in the Midst of Suffering and Evil" arrived in Cagayan De Oro City for those who attended our February 22 conference called "Reflections on Evil and Suffering". This conference was for typhoon Washi victims and the books were given free by Eternal Perspectives Ministries in Oregon, USA. We pray the book will minister to our brethren and assist them in their service to those who are suffering great lose and upset.
We have a six day Vacation Bible School for underprivileged children and their families taking place in three locations now. The VBS has an Easter theme with includes lunch and snacks and also breakfast in one location because the families are very poor. We're praying many kids and their parents will genuinely turn from sin to Christ alone for salvation.
