We finished videotaping the Feed My Starving Children feedings this week so we await the finished product-a 4.5 minute video and several 45 second clips. We taped 10 of our current 41 sites with a variety of settings. The videos will be very useful in teaching others how to conduct feeding ministry and for promotions. Pray that the videos accurately show the role of the church, the Department of Health, community leaders, parents and their children and ACTION's Street Impact Team with Jesus Christ at the center.
We are now preparing for our February 12-14 camp for 50 street kids and out-of-school youth from Bulacan province in partnership with several churches. To do camp right it requires lots of pre-camp prayer and preparation, the camp needs to be full of fun, food, faith and the Gospel as well as post-camp debriefing of workers/pastors and follow-up of the campers. Pray for the recruiting that is taking place now and next Wednesday we have our final orientation with workers/pastors who will serve at camp. I've been involved in camping ministry for several years but it does not get old because God uses camping to bring churches/agencies together to serve in ministry and campers genuinely come to faith in Christ as their personal Savior and Lord. Even though I am getting older camp does not.
