It's a delight to have guests from my hometown area of northern Minnesota-Wisconsin for a few weeks. Mike and Tracy arrived late in the evening last Saturday and joined us for worship at our church's 8am service which is when I met them for the first time. Tracy is here for work while Mike is joining our ministry and learning a lot. When Mike was 16, he's now mid-40s, he sensed the Lord's call to missions so he's asking many good questions and our conversations are fruitful. When they return to their church they'll give a report on their time with us and he's looking into how they and their church can partner in ministry with us. I'll take more guests like Mike and Tracy.
Next Tuesday-Thursday we have a camp for 50 out-of-school youth and street kids from Bulacan province just north of Manila. 12 churches will participate so we're excited to see what the Lord will do among the campers and churches. We're very pleased with how churches in Bulacan are planning and working together to reach youth provincial wide with the Gospel and compassionate care. This is a synergy at the grass-roots level because brethren in Christ are united in the Spirit in the bond of peace with a common purpose. This is a rich deep joy!
