Camp and helping the one

We had a good camp with 19 street kids (14 boys and 5 girls) although
we cut it short one day due to heavy rain. Monday before camp the
flooding and traffic in Manila was terrible which really affected our
gathering of campers (we had 41 registered as of the previous
Thursday) and it rained all day Tuesday with rain in the forecast so
we thought it best to shorten camp. Child Evangelism Fellowship staff
did a great job in teaching the gospel through their "Wordless Book"
material and they saw street kids are from another world. I was really
blessed to have Alvin and Julian at camp who are the brothers of
Joshua who we placed in a home a few weeks ago. As you may recall the
three boys are abandoned by their parents and running the streets so
we now have their trust and will continue to work with them.

Last week we also made contact with 3 year old Erjon who's epileptic
and part of one of our Feed My Starving Children feedings. The food is
greatly helping him but he needs medical intervention so we're working
with Pastor Alfred, whose church is overseeing the feeding, in getting
Erjon's records together so we can help him somehow. Even though we
work with 1000s of kids and their families through our feeding,
Christmas, Easter, camping, education community and street ministries
we're still about the one child the Lord brings to our immediate
attention.
