Today we had a great start to the Street Impact Team's 21 scheduled evangelistic Christmas parties. The party was hosted by Crown of Glory Church and it was full of lively, wiggly, happy kids, parents and workers. There was plenty of good food, lots of games and songs, beautiful decor and beautifully wrapped gifts. To top it all off the message clearly explained the Reason of the Season, Jesus Christ, using Child Evangelism Fellowship's Christmas material. Community Bible Church's Vacation Bible School last summer, in Oregon, USA, provided several gifts which were raffled off so this was an extra blessing to me because it was American kids sharing with Filipino kids. There's no snow in the forecast for Manila even though the Christmas season is in full swing.
Speaking of snow Mary Ann and I are going to Minnesota next Friday and they had a major snow storm this week. Now it's very cold so we're going from Manila's warm "winter" to a deep freeze. Why do we do this!? Because our loving warm hearted families and many friends are there and they want to come for the Holidays that's why.
