Papal visit and demand for FMSC, deep and wide

Pope Francis arrived in Manila Thursday afternoon and wherever he's been there's been gigantic crowds. Today he's in Tacloban City, Leyte for six hours where he'll greet and pray for super typhoon Hiayan survivors and victims of the 7.2 earthquake in Cebu and Bohol. He'll also have lunch with select families from these areas. The Philippines is 80+% Catholic and it's been 20 years since the last Papal visit so we're seeing clearly the depth and width of Catholicism here. Since being here Pope Francis has spoken boldly about combating poverty, graft and corruption. Speaking of helping the poor the Street Impact Team continues to receive requests for Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) food. This week the network of churches we helped establish and trained working with children-in-crisis in Cagayan De Oro and Legazpi Cities requested 12 and 10 200+ lb boxes respectively. Poverty and hunger is also deep and wide and we're in the trenches combating it.
