Life is but a breath: Jesus is our confidence and hope

Wednesday the 30 year-old single son of Nelson Reed, ACTION's International Director and my longtime friend and mentor, was killed in a motorcycle accident. We grieve with Nelson, his dear wife Linda and their family over the lose of their beloved son Stephen. Stephen knew Christ as his Savior and Lord so we grieve while knowing he's with the Lord. Yesterday I was appointed to handle Nelson's administrative duties for an undetermined period of time so pray for the Reeds as I step into his office.

Yesterday we arrived in Lebanon, Oregon to the warm reception of friends of a supporting church. We're on a three week trip and we'll minister in four churches, a chapel service of a Christian academy, chapel at the ACTION office, speak in a class of a Christian university, teach two workshops at a missions conference and work at the ACTION office for a few days so pray for safe travel and productive meetings.

Life is but a breath so we need to do good to others as we reverence God and walk with Jesus Christ. Jesus is our confidence and hope.
