A busy but good week
It's been a busy week with two pot-lucks, a prayer meeting, electrical work, guests from Denver who arrived Thursday, a fire relief op yesterday and as I write I hear campers doing their morning exercise. The unexpected estimated 5-day job to rewire our place became 7 days and was finished yesterday. It was done well. Yesterday we also did a relief op for 22 families living in 7 shanties (not a typo) who were totally burned out Wednesday evening. They escaped the flames with only the clothes they were wearing. Thankfully no one was seriously injured or killed. They gratefully received our practical items and a hope filled message from Romans 15:13 after which I prayed for them. Since Thursday a youth camp is happening here with 60 campers thru today and they're having a good time. Their worship is loud, energetic and Godward. The messages are Biblical. Today we have the guests over for breakfast so it'll be good to get to know them better, however, two of the teenagers and a mom helped pack and distribute the relief packs yesterday. It's been a busy but *good* week.
