What about the kids?! Our good Shepherd knows each child by name

For reasons like provision of food, protection and sex street people
are married on the mat, cardboard or a push-cart and they produce kids
who grow up on the streets as well. This week we've been piecing
together a case study of two male siblings, ages 7 and 9, we
encountered while feeding street kids and giving them flip-flops. The
aunt, who's a street vendor and has 8 kids of her own, was left with
these kids after they were abandoned by their parents. Their mom is
shacking up with another man in another part of town and the dad is
nowhere to be found. The two boys are running the streets and sniffing
glue. Their aunt asked us to intervene so we've made arrangements with
a long-time ministry partner who will take them in. We also learned
the boys have an 11 or 12 year old brother who is nowhere to be found.
Over the years after teaching street parents from the Bible and
Philippine law about marriage and family we've married a few couples
because they want what's best for their family and be a good testimony
in the church, community and before God be responsible. However in the
situation we're dealing with now I'm screaming "what's the future of
these kids?!" Our compassionate Savior has lead us to them so we can
snatch them from the streets. There are many more out there and our
good Shepherd will lead us to them because He knows each child by name.
